Mandalorian Theme Menu

Spread the love

The Space Western that we all love.

Beginning five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Galactic Empire, The Mandalorian follows Din Djarin, a solitary Mandalorian bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. He is hired by remnant Imperial forces to retrieve the child Grogu but instead goes on the run to protect the infant. While looking to reunite Grogu with his kind, they are pursued by Moff Gideon, an ex-imperial official, who wants to use Grogu’s connection to the Force.

Galactic wars, bounty hunters, and a child. These three things have made a great entertainment for decades. The iteration of the saga taking place in The Mandalorian has been chock full of excitement. The story that we are getting to experience in this series has not let us down in the action department. I feel like there was a cohesive flow to this installment, opening up a new set of characters and harkening back to the roots of the series.

In honor of May the Fourth, the AFK Tavern present our Mandalorian Theme Menu.

Grogu’s Life Force

  • Tall glass with full ice
  • ½ oz white rum
  • ½ oz silver tequila
  • ½ oz melon liqueur
  • ½ oz vodka
  • Fill with Green Gatorade.

This drink makes me think of alien blood. The blood is needed for domination of the star systems. A play on a long island iced tea, this cocktail is strong and a bit foreign, much like little Grogu. How will you lean? Dark, or Light? Moff Gideon is after this one and for good reason. The power that runs in The Child’s blood is directly related to the Force. This makes him highly valuable to the dark side and galaxy domination.

Spotchka

  • In a Tall carafe
  • Salt rim on this one.
  • 2 oz Silver Rum
  • 2 oz Kinky Blue vodka
  • ½ oz Blue Curacao
  • Fill with Seltzer water

This is seen in the rescue of Grogu, from Gideon’s Imperial remnant, the elite assassin Fennec Shand drank from a bottle of Spotchka after she and the bounty hunter Boba Fett seized control of Jabba’s Palace from Bib Fortuna. This is a drink brewed from blue krill, it looks a bit phosphorescent and beautifully blue.

Kri’gee a Mandalorian ale

  • Tall frozen glass
  • 1 oz black coffee
  • 1 oz Akvavit
  • Fill with stout beer

This is a bitter call back to the Mandalorian ale. Test your fortitude with this one and channel the Mando way. This cocktail was served widely, the Outer Rim Restaurant and Lounge at Spaceport THX1138, namely, and The Sheb Niktose cantina on Vlemoth Port, located within the Mandalorian settlement of Arumorut, served glasses of Kri’gee priced at four credits each.

The Child

  • Martini glass
  • In a shaker tin, muddle 2 slices of jalapeno
  • 1 oz Gin
  • ½ oz Simple syrup
  • 1 Orange slice
  • Fill halfway with ice
  • Shake and strain into a martini glass
  • Garnish one jalapeno slice and an orange wedge.

The duality of this drink speaks to the two sides of the coin when it comes to the Child. Could this being go toward the light? Could he be masking his abilities and leaning toward the dark path? I can’t wait to see where his story goes.

The Mechanic

  • In a tall glass with Ice
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz Silver Tequila
  • Fill coke
  • Splash of half and half

Peli Motto was a human female mechanic who managed Hangar 3-5 at the spaceport of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine. She’s gruff and no-nonsense. Manipulative even. She’s an opportunist that knows what her repair services are worth and drives a hard bargain. She stumbled into Grogu when The Mandalorian left his ship for repairs in her hangar. She assumed care of the young baby while The Mando was gone. He left Grogu in her charge on more than one occasion.

OG Mandalorian

  • In a highball glass with ice
  • 10 drops of grenadine in the bottom of the glass
  • Add ice
  • Pour 1 ½ oz coconut rum gently down the side of the glass
  • Follow with 1 ½ oz of Jagermeister
  • Fill with Pineapple juice
  • Float Midori on top

Fett is a classic character for us. The emergence of his genetic progeny in the Mandalorian was a hugely awesome addition. This drink brings the colors of his armor to the forefront and tastes amazing. The cliffhanger that leaves us in awe is a promising storyline and tons of action.

Ne’tra gal

  • In a beer stein
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz Honey whiskey
  • Fill with Porter beer

Sweet and sticky, this drink is widely enjoyed among Mandalorians. The brew is sticky, sweet, and dark. This particular Ale was served at The Sheb Niktose cantina on Vlemoth Port, located within the Mandalorian settlement of Arumorut, mugs of Ne’tra gal were sold for six credits each.
