What has transformed from a simple pun to a full-blown event, May the 4th has become Star Wars Day. Initially, “May the Fourth be with you” was a joke but with Disney’s owning of the franchise, the impetus to brand this day has grown. Now each year it is an opportunity to keep their investment growing and activate in the imagination of the fans. Despite the ongoing pandemic, both in-person and online events will go on to celebrate this 44-year-old franchise.

Local In-Person Events:

The pandemic put a damper on events for this and previous years. However, with the reopening of various businesses, it may be possible to gather with people to celebrate your fandom.

Bad Batch

This animated series is a sequel and spin-off to the Clone War series. This series follows the adventures of Clone Force 99, a cadre of modified clone troopers, as they navigate a post-Clone Wars Galaxy.

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian

An 8 episode look behind the scenes of “The Mandalorian” series will premiere on Star Wars Day. Each episode will cover a different part of the series as Jon Favreau hosts this self-referential show.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The final episodes of the critically acclaimed show will be released on May 4th. This season of the show will cover the events leading up to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and look to be a great send-off for this program.
