This list is the compilation of all the mini-theme menus from my alcohol reviews.

Blackberry Old Fashioned

This is not your grandparents old fashioned. The berry in it gives it a modern feel and taste. Keeping the whiskey true to its own taste is the key to this one and adding the bitters and sugar makes it sing.

In a rocks glass

1 teaspoon granulated sugar
3 drops Bitters
2 Blackberries
Smoosh the sugar, bitters, and blackberries together
Add 2oz Blackberry whiskey
Add 3 Ice cubes
Splash soda water on top
Garnish with mint leaf and blackberry

The Press

Usually, a “Press” is made with Vodka, this whiskey however is light enough to make it into this and it tastes amazing. For myself I like a little lemon squeezed into the drink, it adds a freshness and zing that’s great for summertime.

In a Collins glass with ice
2 oz Blackberry Whiskey
Fill Half with Sprite
Fill the Rest with Soda Water
Garnish with a lemon wheel

The Brambleberry

A hot August night when the brambles have overtaken your yard and you didn’t realize it until now. This drink will have you sloughing that chore off for a different weekend. Sit back and enjoy the view of all of the berries that the birds will enjoy before you get to them.

In a shaker tin
Add half-ice
1 ½ oz Blackberry Whiskey
Splash Cranberry Juice
Splash Sweet and Sour mix
Shake and strain into a rocks glass

Blackberry Pie A La Mode

This does taste like pie. The warm spices in the Chai Tea are just the right flavors combined with the berry. This drink can transport you right to the kitchen that your grandma used to bake in. The lingering taste on the back of your tongue is sweet and, with the vanilla mimicking the ice cream on top.

In a rocks glass

Mrs. Krabapple
