Wandavision Poster / Disney
This series really got me in the feels. I cried countless times and still understood why Wanda was wrong. I had no idea that a comic series could be as emotional as the storyline between Wanda Maximoff and Vision. I love the theme of television through the decades and was happy when they tied it all together at the end. The episodes were all spectacularly different yet the same. Growing up in the eras of television the way it was portrayed by what Wanda did was relatable and poignant for me. It made me think about the ideals that television gave me and the want for a family structure that is always presented. Wanda was so broken and lost after Vision died that she created the fantasies that made her comfortable and safe in a world where her love still existed.
This series walked us through different decades of television that were starkly different. Every episode’s setting in a separate decade was fun to follow and kept it interesting. Starting with a Dick VanDyke 1950s style and going through the season’s seventh episode with more of a 2000s Modern Family feel. These drinks are named for the 7 episodes that were placed in a particular decade.
