The fourth of July. What can I say here that we don’t already know? Independence Day (colloquially the Fourth of July or July 4) is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States, on July 4, 1776. Making the 13 original American Colonies no longer under British rule. We celebrate our independence by drinking ourselves silly and firing flaming paper, explosive powders, and wood into the sky. Sounds nutty, right? This has already been a very strange time and I urge you to take a look around before setting things on fire this year. I have a theme menu here to keep you entertained instead.
Blue Bomb Pop
Highball Glass
- 2 oz UV Blue Raspberry Vodka
- Lemonade
- 3 Drops Grenadine
Add vodka to a glass with ice. Fill with lemonade, and add grenadine.
Sparkler
Highball Glass
- 1 oz Peach Schnapps
- 2 oz Spiced Rum
- Peach Seltzer
Add alcohol to a highball glass with ice. Fill with seltzer water.
Red, White, and Blue
Highball Glass
- 1.5 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 1.0 oz Blueberry Schnapps
- 3.0 oz Lemon-Lime Soda
- 0.5 oz Grenadine
Add the two alcohols to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a highball glass with. Add ice to the glass and pour in the soda. Carefully pour in the grenadine down the side of the glass to obtain the white, blue, and red layering.
Merican Margaritas
4 Margarita Glasses
Red Layer
- 2 cups of Ice
- 2 oz Silver Tequila
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 2 oz Grenadine
Blue Layer
- 2 cups of Ice
- 2 oz Silver Tequila
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 2 oz Blue Curaçao
White Layer
- 2 cups of Ice
- 2 oz Silver Tequila
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 2 oz Lime Juice
In a blender combine the ingredients of the red layer, once blended divide into Margarita glasses. Repeat with blue and red layers and layer into their respective glasses. Garnish with lime wedges.
